In 1996, portfolio in hand, Anja moved to Milan and then to Paris where she worked with a variety of clients in the fashion industry such as Marie Claire and Harper's Bazaar. While on location in California in 1998, Anja decided to move to the U.S. permanently to further her career in American markets. The move was beneficial, as Anja was hired to work with such American idols as Barry Bonds; major musical talents Metallica, Third Eye Blind, N*Sync and the Back street Boys and celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Bruce Willis, and Lisa Kudrow.

Among her fine skills as a hair and make-up artist, Anja's specializes in Bodypainting of all types. Harley Davidson and Cellular One are just a couple satisfied customers whom have hired Anja for custom body artistry.

Anja has had the pleasure of working with a wide range of clients from all over the world. On each job her visionary abilities have led her into realms that are as unusual, and innovative as they are striking. Currently basing herself out of San Francisco & LA., Anja has been directing her skills toward the Music Video and film industry.

Ever since childhood, Anja was an artist. Painting was a passion for her which would later lead to a successful career in the make-up industry. Born in a small town in Germany, Anja got her first make-up experience at the age of twelve working in her school theater company as a set painter-turned-make-up artist. This was a turning point for her, as she realized that makeup was a passion that went beyond her school. In High school, her interest led her to numerous trainings in stage and special effects make-up while she continued to hone her skills with a traveling theater group. After high school, she furthered her training with Hair and Make-up workshops while working at a local hair salon.

Anja's desire to travel and meet people from all walks of life prompted her to think outside the bounds of her small town, and pursue a career in commercial make-up and styling. Her undeniable talent opened doors easily. For the next 6 years, Anja traveled worldwide to do catalogue work for German clientele including Otto, Lecomte and Neckerman, to name a few. This work eventually led to ad campaigns and shows for international clients Paul Mitchell, Wella, Nexxus and Redkin.
